BIM

The objective of the BIM process is to have project personnel provide an optimized and well-coordinated clash free design, ready for field installation.  Model coordinators systematically identify and capture 3D or 4D representations of problems for designers to solve. Designing and coordinating with BIM offers a proactive collaboration that goes beyond just coordinating on the component level. Proper 3D or 4D coordination should allow the trades to work together to encompass entire systems as well as the installation process.  Having confidence in the quality of the coordination and in the plan for installing building elements and equipment means that subcontractors will be able to prefabricate substantial parts of their scope of work and deliver the project efficiently and within the scheduled time frame.

The final coordinated 3D model of the building or facility will represent an accurate as built record drawing of the entire project.
